Hello world.

I have always enjoyed writing. Language is one of my big passions, whether it’s how we communicate, how language reflects culture, how the languages of the world works, or different ways of writing languages.
Well written stories creating images in my head, letting me live inside the fictional world the author created. All of that fascinates me.

Being autistic and growing up with social anxiety, it might be weird that I’m so interested in language and communication, but I have come to believe that it is exactly BECAUSE of those things. I have always analyzed language because in order to mask my autism I have had to.

I have done blogging several times before, in the beginning it was anonymously to deal with mental health issues, but now it will be less thematic and certainly less dark. I will be writing about my mental health as well, but also my general interests, disability, politics, photography, cooking and baking, literature, etc.

I don’t know how frequently I’ll write here, we will just have to wait and see.

  2. Sofie, good to see your post. And just to say not to worry about how frequently you’ll write, there is no pressure to post, its just as and when you feel like it. Adrian 🙂

      1. Always remember it, and don’t let blogging stress you out at all. The opposite should apply, ie that blogging is a source of pleasure, relaxation and release. I’m a photographer, and my blog will soon be 9 years old: I find it a great source of motivation and creativity, and the contact with others around the world is both enjoyable and educational. Good luck! 🙂
